Meet the Photographer
Hasan Sume
Fine Art Landscape Photographer
Visual Terrains
I picked up a camera in 1984 and never really put it down. What began in a high school darkroom, watching a print appear in developer and that grew into a life spent in the landscape looking for the fleeting moments. I see every scene twice: at first as a black and white structure and then the color seeps in. Each is a different truth about the same moment. The work is an attempt to live in that space between certainties, in the infinite variations of gray where most of life actually happens.
